Toklas last night was great, I’m not a vegetarian but the roast winter vegetables were spot on, service was great and we went through a few wines to taste before choosing, they also gave us a bit of birthday fizz and and an extra candle adorned dessert. Partner loved it which was the main priority. Standout was the cherry/chocolate dessert though I couldn’t fault any of it.
It’s pretty relaxed there and not some posh fine dining experience but that’s one of the reasons we liked it, table next door had the tarte tatin which is £20 and an off menu order, will have to try that if/when we are back as a 4
