  • It just re-directs me to a page telling me to log on using the switch itself.

  • Unraveled 2 is great.

  • As is 1 but it's only for 1.

  • Was talking about that with my kid yesterday and how much we liked it. We really need a follow up to It Takes Two!

  • I'm trying to convince my girlfriend to play the prison escape 2 player one but she's a bit worried she'll get addicted to games and doesn't have the time. It looks like an adult it takes two, I nearly had her when we had a friend stay for a bit and we almost started it.

    "A way out"
I started this but didn't finish
My wife loved it takes two

  • Picked up Rayman Legends in CEX. Hopefully the local co-op is decent.

  • Inscryption is very good and a touch weird.

  • It's more than a touch weird, but it is very good.

  • They're all good and run for the benefit of their members. Although if you go in the morning, half the customers are in their PJs/dressing gowns...

  • Latest Humble bundle is pretty epic for FPS fans.
    System Shock (remastered)
    Crysis 1,2,3 remastered
    Doom 2016
    Prey
    Star Wars dark forces (remastered)

  • I love them. The one in Walthamstow is great. Stratford and Peckham feel a bit edgy, but I’ll happily go into any and find some bargains. Love seeing the old console stuff in the windows.

Rayman Legends is great fun. The co-op mechanics are pretty basic in comparison, but it does seem to feel quite a bit like those in It Takes Two. Should be a good few hours of fun, and we both already want to go back and perfect the levels we’ve done.

  • PS5 price drop - having managed to put off upgrading the PS4 to a PS5 for years, is there a reason why I shouldn't give in to temptation now?

  • praised be the mantis god

  • Are there many games you want that are exclusive to it?

I guess you had a regular PS4 rather than a Pro? Many of your existing games may now run higher res / higher frame rate.

  • It's worth it just to not have jet engine fans

  • Have this case (but not slim) going spare for free — anyone want it?

  • Yep, got an OG PS4 - I have limited free time so am basically on a 5 year lag (I've recently finished Jedi Knight Fallen Order, currently playing The Warriors, and have Control lined up for the next game - that's how up to date I am!). Am assuming getting a PS5 now will give a small bump to my current user experience and future proof me for the next 5-10 years.

  • I have a used but minty fresh disc PS5 for sale if you're interested. £300.

  • I still play this occasionally - I must've been around 13 when it first came out (or the GOTY edition) and I got hooked. Facing Worlds was carnage online. DnB soundtrack just adds to the vibe.

Epic sure know how to make soul-usurping games. I swear my kids have been playing Fortnite now since season one.

  • Can’t be arsed to write this again so here’s my response to the ps5 disc vs digital version debate.
I would say get a ps5 just decide which flavour you want, and if you decide to just download games from the store you had on your ps4 the bigger ones are getting remastered versions you can get upgraded for small beer (relatively)

Also love control and it’ll be even better playing the ps5 version, less slowdown on some of the multi enemy gunfights..

  • What Switch games are good for a 10 year old that has & likes Zelda (Skyward Sword, BOTW and TOTK) Minecraft, Fortnite, Smash Bros, and Lego Star Wars & Harry Potter?

  • Lego Horizon Adventure? I hear they took out all the grim stuff and made it a kid-friendly eco advanture.

Luigi's Mansion 3 sounds like a safe bet, given the games you say they have liked.

Extra thought: World of Goo and the sequel? The full catalogue of Tomorrow Corporation games goes some dark places (like turning your kid into an assembly language programmer if you pick Human Resource Machine - and then there's "My Little Inferno") but the Goo games are kid friendly with a mild "Fungus the Bogeyman" hint in the atmosphere.
