Excellent, they are lovely bikes . They also cost a fortune new!

@johnnettles2 - yes, I believe this one was c €3k for the frameset! I know that’s hard to justify, but the craftsmanship is superb 👍

That’s a very nice bike but, imho, the stem looks quite bulky compared to the sleekness of everything else

^this, a black stem would look better too I reckon

Fair play Mike Dean! 👌Epic ride - did the bike treat you well?

To be fair, it was more epic than I’d imagined - we had pretty crap weather - lots of wind and rain (and cold - ice inside the tents cold!)
It was the Ride Across Britain - so supported in the sense that you’re not carrying anything and all food provided, but camping and not hotels. - it definitely wasn’t the “holiday” to tour the country as I’d imagined and instead was a very tough endurance challenge - partly driven by the weather but also just 110 miles a day is definitely fatiguing!! Two ski station climbs in Scotland didn’t help either! (Glenshee and Lecht)…..overall an amazing experience.
Oh, and the bike was fantastic - super comfy with no physical issues coming to bear during the ride for me so my setup was good - three punctures in crappy weather/roads on first two days and new set of front pads needed by day 5 for the same reason but otherwise all good!!

Relative of mine owned this (not from new) and was responsible for the build as you purchased it.
Nice to see it getting ridden and congratulations on completing LEJOG!

Now for sale?

• #17
Yes I’ve put it up for sale along with my Bob Jackson - I’m looking forward to a winter of off road and some gravel events next year so a bit of a swap around in “the stable”!!
I picked this up locally via FB marketplace - it’s absolutely stunning and rides beautifully
It came with an eclectic mix of parts including Dura Ace 7400 sti’s and front mech, Ultegra 6700 hubs, Sugino cranks - all working really nicely
I couldn’t believe the condition when I picked it up - there isn’t a mark on the frame
I’m going to use a modern Ultegra groupset on it with some Hope hubbed wheels, Zipp bars and a Brooks C17 - should have it ready for a ride tomorrow!!
