Yeah - under sprung and under damped. They're often progressive springs too, which I hate.
Even without the emulators, straight rate springs for your weight and 15w oil is normally a really good upgrade.
On the honda? Valve kit and springs on the forks meant going to 5w oil! and re valve with adjusters fitted and spring change on the standard shock. Meant I could set the sag for heavy fucker as I have heavy leathers and helmet ;)
