You'd want the No Tab I am doing now no? You on them steel bottles I believe? Or am I wrong?
-
• #9503
I was going to, but gave up on the idea, so just standard bottle type ones will be lovely.

Haha. They ordered some STD symmetric already so maybe just order from them or express interest if it's not up on the site yet

• #9505
Cool. When do you plan to ship the bottles to them, was going to do it in one order (save on packaging, and on postage).

Thursday. Maybe just email them and have it put aside

Will do.

I should’ve engaged brain and asked Tijmen to hold off on sending my bag until post-bespoke to get one of these delightful mushrooms bottles. Found a dealer in Canada yet?!

No unfortunately, the big North America push hasn't happened yet. 2025 will bring more business there I expect.

There's many different types of loctite. I have one that works the same way as this. Maybe not exactly as good as what you are suggesting but I haven't had problems before

Fair enough. The flange is only 3mm thick here.

I will take a couple bottles to go with my new stayer

Had another dig at the dropouts. Not quite there yet.
Option 1 is the sandwich. This is 2x 3mm sandwhiches. This is not an idiotic solution, but it does mean the threads are in the frame which I wanted to avoid.
Option 2 is chunky solution. Looks less nice. But it will be a lot easier to manufacture..
countersunk screws will require making things bigger, which might be fine.
But currently I am think this is too much work without any benfits. I might as well just do UDH droputs.

This is the UDH version which is probably a lot more sensible and future proof and a lot less work. Only problem with this is that it makes the whole rear triangle a lot wider and with size UK13/EU48 like I have there can be a bit of heel strike. But that can probably be fixed with chainstays geometry

You could turn down some stainless threaded bushings to not have to thread the frame. Butt everything would get even larger and require more work in the end without any real benefit. It all sounds like over complicating things when you can just go the UDH route and I do love some standardization.
Also the disclaimer here is that I am looking at the problem from my experience as an engineer working in heavy duty automotive industry with no affinity to bike making whatsoever. We tend to overreach just a bit. :)

Yeah, I should just use Paragon DR2102 really
I just would like to be in control of things aesthically. But its not a smart way to run a business.

Are any of the normal size cages going to make it to fresh tripe my beloved local bike shop?
-
• #9523
They did not ask for any. They are already well stocked in other regular cages i think. But I think you should tell them to get some :) happy to ship this week

What you actually need to do is become the EU version of Paragon. But that is another scale all together :)
There are actually some nice builders throughout the EU making interesting stuff, if someone could consolidate it all into a EU shop by and for builders could also be a nice thing. I imagine makers like making stuff, not taking up the hassle of admin of selling stuff themselves.
