Brompton owners

Did you look at any other 20inch folders? If so, how did they stack up?

I’ve not even looked as I view it as an upgrade on a Brompton rather than a segment purchase…

Any interest in a full dynamo set up before I post an ad in classifieds? Taken from a new bike (with some use) after owner decided they weren't keen on the drag. Will check which model Shimano hub it is and which lights. All cables included too. In Manchester though so will probably need posting

Arrived today from Brilliant Bikes after being on back order for a few weeks. £35 seems a bargain.

Bit of work to install as I need to find a 24mm socket to remove my old style folding pedal and fork crown to be drilled out to fit the recessed pedal holder.

Finally getting the seatpost sleeve replaced on the 2spd, will hopefully mean not having to raise the saddle midway through every ride, after it slides down imperceptibly…
Hoping to have it back in time to ride out to drinks on Saturday..

Has anybody else fitted something slightly 'swept' and wide to their Brompton like so? I am thinking of buying a Brompton but after many years of laid back dutch handlebars and wide mtb bars I am reluctant to ride skinny straight Brompton bars. It would be greta if the bike still folded okay though.

I put some mildly swept back bars on my S and it reduced the reach so much I really didn’t like it.

Some have suggested these in the past for narrowness and comfort, but I'm with @b0n0rv2. Though I've never tried swept bars on the Brompton, I find the reach too short anyway, so run my pentaclip backwards to get the saddle further back.

Anyone looking for rear Brompton bag? Got one recently but decided it is not for me.

Considering RRP is £90, asking for £40 (FYI I don't have the strap - but it is not needed to carry it).

this needs a rack doesent it? can it be a non-brompton (mini) rack?

Correct, It is on my H&H rear rack and sit fine due to the 3 strap support (seat post, suspension block and rack)
