    (if anyone wants to use this picture to fabricate a key and steal the bike I'd be more than happy).

  • Does your lock look like one of these? (But with Onguard written on it rather than Magnum). If so, I've opened loads of them with a good whack on the silver bit on the side whilst turning the key.
    The good news is that if it is one of those and all else fails, they're pretty easy to cut through.
    I would say though, if you do manage to get it open, just bin it. In my experience it will definitely jam again before long!

    Edit: sorry, I missed your other reply. If it's a 16mm shackle, it's not the locks I have experience with as pictured above. They're 14mm.

  • On the other hand I've used OnGuard Pitbull (14mm) and Brute (16.8mm) locks for years and not had one seize up

    I do have a feeling I had one of those locks too though and the keys on this image look different. Maybe I should have another hunt around to make sure I don't have any other keys and I'm not using the wrong key
