• Hi all, my 4 year old has been on one of the above pictured Isla Cnoc 14s for about six months now and it's getting a touch on the small side with the bars leaning forward and seat fully up. She's a very confident cycler so we are thinking jumping straight to a 20" bike rather than getting a 16/18" and having to replace in another six months. Currently looking at Frog 55 or Isla Benin 20. Any thoughts on that size? A neighbour kid in her class who is smaller has a 20" and while it's a touch on the big side, he can still manage on it...
Basically it feels like a waste to get the intermediate sizes when they don't look all that bigger...Any advice or experiences would be great!

  • Yeah, I think it's possible to squeeze some extra months out of a bike by fettling stem, bars, post.

We just put slightly longer stem, risers and taller layback post on son's Frog Tadpole Mini whilst we wait for him to graduate to pedals.
