• This is going to be lovely. And thanks for the blindingly obvious idea of using a 94bcd spider which is readily available. I have the R01s and was looking for the hens teeth 'incy' spider to give me double options.29t should be plenty low enough.

  • When I spoke to BETD about ordering the Middleburns they said you can use the R02 incy spider with R01 cranks, you just need a wider bottom bracket to sort the chainline.
29/32 or 29/34 is plenty low enough for most hills (as long as you're not dragging the kitchen sink along).

  • Which I most likely will be as use case is possibly taking the toddler on an overnighter next summer. Will run them 1x while I try and gain some fitness back.

Took a look at them the other night and decided to strip the remaining anodising off and give them a polish up. I know this is a fools errand, especially on an off-road bike bike, but they'll look good at least once.

This is gonna sound like I'm throwing shade but it's really not: I had almost identical paint on my old Pearson Touché. It was the one thing I really liked about that frame. At no point did it look as tidy as that though.
