use wifi for all my syncing of routes and rides
What about when you are away / touring, etc? Do you just leave it until you get home? I wouldn't want to be messing around with hotel wifi codes, etc.
Bro, do you even Hotspot?
If I'm away and editing routes (like I was last week) I simply turn on my Hotspot, my Garmin is already setup to use it and it syncs in seconds.
It would only be if I had no data and no wifi available that I'd restort to using Pootooth and the Garmin app.
Oh, yeah, never thought of that!
I use the app syncing as that was the easiest way I found when setting it up first time. Never worked out how to connect it to WiFi, but I guess it's probably not that hard. Agree it wound be simpler to cut out the unnecessary app.
