WTD - iMac (that’s new enough to be updated)

As title, current iMac is from 2008 and won’t take new OS and app updates etc.

Don’t need a spec beyond running a browser and watching the odd film/tutorial/google sheets.

Can pay, can also add in a swap for this if it’s worth it to anyone - old but runs quick and quiet. Box is somewhere, 20 inch, 4gb ram.

This is about to happen to my MBP. I am thinking of trying https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/ - have you come across it? Don't take this as a recommendation, but maybe you can give that a go to extend your old mac. Or the other option is installing Linux, trying this as dual boot in the first instance seems sensible.
