The more versatile components are those which have fewer fatbike-specific components, e.g RF Cinch or Cannondale Hollowgram chainsets just need a wider spindle to adapt the normal MTB models, BBs that don't include the spindle (i.e not square taper or ISIS)...

We've had one of these donated, and trying to come up with a price for it to sell has been pretty difficult! It has some heritage (which should be easy to work out with some googling) that we can't disclose as a condition of the donation.
Anyone have an idea?

I'll give you £50 for it. You can keep the saddle and the pedals. ;-)

That's quite the ride. Should be in a museum of some sort.

Dibs! All joking aside, would be well keen for this at the right price if postage was an option. PM me if so.

Hah those giant pedal straps!
Ison still have Halo fat bike wheels, and there's usually a range of parts on eBay at any given moment.
In answer to your other question, in my humble opinion they have gone the way of the 'fixie'. The trend is over but the fatbikes are still there to be enjoyed for those that want to ride them for fun rather than fashion.
