Which meteor is it? A lot of them are just 18650 cells which are cheap and it's just a coin twist on the back to open.

Anyone used one of these?
https://www.racewaredirect.co/shop/exposure-gopro-mount-with-security-tabs/
Was thinking it'd be neat to hang my Diablo/Joystick from under a Raveman Garmin mount as it would remove the need for a handlebar mount and mean I could shift my Garmin back across centrally.
I don't trust the little plastic clips though so this has the advantage of having tabs for the rubber security band.

Have several MagCADs that use a strap without issue.
https://www.magcad-designs.com/products/magcad-exposure-lights-gopro-mount-diablo?_pos=1&_sid=2f0baea75&_ss=rAlso have some AeroHead mounts and if your light has escaped one of these, you've bigger things to be worrying about. https://aerohead.cc/products/exposure-sirius-light-bracket
I'm assuming the Sirius shares the same diameter as the Diablo/Joystick.

I've never had a light escape with a strap but I have had them escape when mounted upside-down with just the stock clip adapter thing - the plastic semi-circle that allows you to use normal Exposure mounts with helmet lights.
So, I guess any of these three options will work. I'll probably use Raceware because they've helped me out in the past, indirectly at least, via Bike Whisperer.

use Raceware
I'd get this one then, it also uses the original band, the MagCAD band would be more annoying to lose.

I use the Raceware one with a Sirius, never had any issues. As secure as the fit feels, I always use the rubber strap.

I'm not actually sure I have an "original band" though - they don't normally come with helmet lights do they?

No idea but can post you a band if you want.

Just checking - no problems with the mounts? You don’t have the light launching itself into space when you hit a pothole?
I had a couple of magicshines when they were first a thing. The torches were great, but I couldn’t find a reliable way to fix them to the bike - either they’d bounce off or I’d fix them with ties or tape, which was a hassle when swapping from bike to bike. I ended up with a Hope Vision - the size of a coke can - that’s still going strong after 14 years. But is still big and ugly!

No, that has never happened, even when I've had the light upside down, off road.
The mounts are very grippy. If I had any complaint it would be that it is quite hard to get the lights in to them. Need to force the jaws of the mount apart and twist the light in.
I used to use the Hope vision ones. They were good lights 10-15 years ago but things have moved on. I did a test a couple of years ago. Even the cheap £2 one I linked above gives a better light on low power than the Hope. But I managed ok with it for the TCR and Indypac - to a large extent it's what you are used to!

I have just set this up for my Sirius light under a Redshift Garmin specific mount.
This side entry mount that Exposure sell might help
https://www.exposurelights.com/products/side-entry-helmet-mount-clipBUT getting the right plate on the bottom of your Garmin mount is an issue and finding long enough screws was my issue.
https://barflybike.com/products/bar-fly-prime-gopro-compatible-base
For example, the screws shown in this pic are not long enough to secure the mount AND and the base of the garmin. And you need flush bolts to continue using the Garmin.I got there in the end but 2 trips to the hardware shop/LBS.
As you will see from the other Garmin mount, screws that go from underneath work a little better or you might just buy something like this.

Another option I didn't know about. Thanks.
BUT getting the right plate on the bottom of your Garmin mount is an issue and finding long enough screws was my issue.
The Raveman mounts that I've been buying already come with the GoPro mount thingie underneath, ie.

smarter than the average bear, I wish I had bought those first too, but I got the Redshift one as they made up for an error they made when sending me the stem...

Remember seeing it in a post the other day but can't find it now - good, cheap (possibly generic) torch brand that uses standard rechargeable cells? Possibly Lumintop but it doesn't seem quite right

Yep, it's the Lumintop B01

Also looking at this, but the mount looks pretty flimsy (and ugly). Anyone know of alternative mounts?
-
• #5820
The Lumintop mount might not be a work of art, if that's important to you, but it's definitely not flimsy

Had a look at the Lumitop and Reddit suggested they work with one of the Project76 mounts, just need to confirm the diameter..

Looks just the job - Lumintop site suggests 25.4mm Diameter so that could work with the 25mm mount - "GoPro to 25mm - Compatible with all lights with approximately 25mm diameter"
edit: review linked above says it measures at 25.3mm, so guessing that would work with the above mount

Nice one, I think that must have been it. Thanks

Does anyone know what I need to attach a light/gopro mount to the bottom of a standard garmin out front mount?
Does something like this screw into the underside of the garmin mount and allow you to attach the garmin to the top as usual?
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1806854936/garmin-quarter-turn-to-gopro-mount?
Would rather not pay a tenner if poss

There are different standard mounts.. is it just flat with 4 bolt holes?
Thanks, will have a look at the lumintops
