cool, interesting to find out a bit of background.
I've not dj'd for years, but did buy myself a pioneer digital controller recently. haven't done much with it yet though.
as an aside, I haven't made any music for a while so I sampled a bit from the gene ammons track posted above and messed about for a couple of hours in FL studio. turned into a sort of bouncy techno thing.
