I'm looking to pick up a secondhand field recorder. Are there any community forums with classified sections I should look in, or just stick with eBay?

Blue Room and SOS might have something?
On that note (apologies for taking the cue...!), I'm looking to get myself a drone (the above DJI Mini 3 Pro from @CYOA didn't get any further unfortunately, not sure he's been on the forum since?) and would love to know if any such forums/communities with reliable enough classified sections exist for aerial filming/photography?
Obviously Black Friday coming soon, too, but with the 3 Pro being discontinued in the UK and the 4 Pro being quite a bit more expensive while not offering much more I feel like going second hand might well be the way forward...

There's a bunch of them on MPB in case you haven't checked there already - https://www.mpb.com/en-uk/product/dji-mini-3-pro
I'm after a Zoom F4, which has been discontinued a few years, they seem a bit scarce in the used sections I've searched.

Cheers! I had a look but they are pricier than DJI's own official refurb'd which come with full warranty, so that might just the the way to go. Their UK black friday starts on Monday so we'll see...
For what it's worth, I've used the Zoom F6 a few times and it's a good device which runs forever on NP-F's, though I'll totally agree on the fact that the ergonomics look streets ahead on the F4. A quick Google also made it obvious how the name makes it hard to look for as it returns a bunch of kit lenses with an f4 aperture!

Yes, I was really hoping Zoom would release an F4N or F6N, since everyone seems to hate on the F6 so much haha. That's why I'm looking cheaper / used in the meantime.

I actually don't think it's that bad but then again, I'm not an actual sound recordist. I do think a lot of the hate comes from its straying away from the traditional format as much as anything as it does its job of recording audio well.
If the F4 would work out cheaper it might well be worth holding out for one, but if prices are similar it might be worth looking for one locally on fat llama or similar and rent for a day to see how you get along

I stumbled on this site for used broadcast gear - https://www.bblist.co.uk/index.php

What do you want the recorder for? Do you need timecode? 32 bit? multiple channels?
I'd suggest asking on the FieldRecording Slack site and on JWSound for recommendations - both have used gear sections - though bblist is pretty good too.
I'd get a Sound Devices if you want something well designed and reliable.

Thanks, I'll look at those.
It's for podcasting and recording in the field. Using dynamic mics for the podcasts, so attracted to the low noise floor of the F4 vs the H-series. I've already got an F1 with the H-series XLR capsule and while it's got plenty of gain it's not that clean.
Was very interested in the Livetrak L8 portable mixer, but after renting one it doesn't have enough gain (54 dB max) and was just as noisy if not more than the F1. The F4 has enough submixes that it can work as the brains for USB multitrack recording with different monitoring options.
The MixPre 3 is nice but it has fewer ports than the F4 and no combi jacks, so just feels a bit less flexible.
Sure thing, will try to put some pictures together of it and a pencilled dibs is yours in the meantime. Not sure when I'm next in town but will drop a note over and if you're still interested when I'm traveling next I'll pack it.
