  • Assuming Shimano haven't changed the setup from what they've used forever, there should be a 2mm allen grub screw biting on the pivot pin from underneath. They're easy to strip when the threads on the screw have had a chance to rust inside the lever body... I've usually had success with a squirt of CRC or whatever, and sometimes also wrapping the allen key in a layer or two of foil, twisting it off over the end. You could also try jamming in the appropriate sized torx bit, although it might be a bit small for that trick to work.
