You may want to add three to four hundred onto what you want to spend.
-
• #3
^^ Agreed.
People put up with bullshit inflation and escalating costs of basic expenses but become incredibly tight when it comes to shelling out for hard goods. Your hard goods will outlive any scenario of economic decline.

Dunno fella. Might disagree. Seen frames going for 200 300
again nothing fancy -
• #5
Then you should have probably brought one of them. If you can get a ti frame for £500 you’re doing strong work. Usually go secondhand for £600-£900, maybe more depending on how well kept/desirable they are.
Good luck with your search. -

There are non-fancy ti frames?! Where do I find one?
-

Not mine, but this almost fits your budget https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134804236700

Out of interest, Are you looking for rim brake or disc brake? Most likely £400 bottom line starting price for a rim brake frame unless you are after stolen goods.
-
• #9
planetx new ti frames 399-499. what are you talking about
-
• #10
rim brake
-
• #11
they have a single model on sale at 60 % off....
-

I don't understand, are you asking, or telling? You said you "Seen frames going for 200 300", so maybe buy one of them?
-
• #13
S size frame, no forks @£499.
Rather then continuing to put your point across on here - and you are not doing a very good job at it - look for a full bike with some decent gear on, sell all the parts and you may just make it. My Van Nick with brand new Vision wheelset and brand new 105 R7000 groupset came at £800 total doing precisely that.

Some great value full builds about at the moment. Decent spec on this Enigma 54cm in London £800 obo the only Ti frames I've ever seen close to £300 have been 20+ years old and mostly without fork I wouldn't fancy a really old one. Mates of mine have had expensive Litespeeds and Merlins back in the day and both went at either the chain or seatstay

You want a Ti frame (s/m) for £300 - nothing fancy. I’m telling you, you’ll be lucky to get one for sub £500. You then tell me you can get Planet X frames for £400-£500, which is a road frame at £500 and an Mtb frame at £400, which is still not £300.
I gave you my opinion on your budget and that you might need to increase it to get what you want. If that irritates you, that’s your business, not mine. I ain’t the one searching for a Ti frame that is £300. -
• #18
You're the one that sounds irritated and I'm not sure why. A bog standard rim brake second hand ti frameset for £300 is achievable. OP try searching for Airborne - they often go cheap.

There is a saying
buy cheap, buy twice
I’m sure it’s about Ti bikes. -
• #20
If you're happy with rim brakes and not much clearance I bet you'd get a Ti bike cheap.
There was a small Merlin? Or was it a Sabbath Silk Road? recently that went for £100 or something.

Rim brakes are fine. Where? I didn't find one
-

My mate is selling his Passoni Ray carbon Ti/carbon frame size 56.

I have a litespeed blade with paint needs redoing and one of the bottle cage threads (one is working) is gone, say £250 with forks and headset? Is a truly excellent frame though. Pm if you want pics
Nothing fancy. size s-m. limited budget no more than 300
might consider fixie ti frame too
