  • Oh for a prince headliner

    Think he's dead ya know

  • This thread going the way of the stand up one

  • I think that style headliner is either dead well he is or they are well past it.

It’s just the same old stuff year in year out.

    Coldplay/Muse or other nonsense.

Oasis or Fleetwood Mac would be ones that you could say fair enough.

  • Prince in his day would of been good but died before he played . Abba then they would be a laugh .

  • So the world is running out of musicians. Blame Spotify.

  • I don’t know About that but it’s defo not band music that’s selling right now compared to say 10/15 years ago.

Fontaine DC everyone seems to shout about and they are fine imo but not one of the best bands in the last 30 years as I seen earlier today

  • Could it be a money problem? These days the younger bands have to tour to make a living. Maybe Glasto doesn't pay much?

  • Blame Spotify.

    BLAME RICK BEATO

  • For calling out shit music?

I thank him. Rick knows music.

  • Haha, I’m jesting. Rick Beato is legendary, I’ve learned so much about music from his YouTube videos.

  • Rick Beato is legendary

Although tbf, his greatest songs list does include Mr Brightside and at least one song by The Police.

  • The Telegraph has a piece saying that Glasto pays bands 10% of what they can get elsewhere. Bands with elaborate shows make a loss. So lots of the big names won't go.

  • I think at one point glasto was like an amazing place to play for there CV but now all these big bands and artists are doing it themselves and don’t need it.

Taylor swift is making 14 million a gig apparently, chances of her playing glasto for Micheal Evans to give himself a pat on the back are slim now.

  • I saw jungle at a festival a couple of years ago and thought they were a bit shit. On paper should have liked it but every song sounded the same - no pace to the set. Wandered off to watch something else after a bit. #csb

  • I’m guess I’m not exactly the target audience but what/who is SZA?

  • I know Sza and she’s got some really great music but I just think her as the closer this year was a shambles.

Mic or auto tune really affected the first half, she played a lot of early stuff and she didn’t really interact with the crowd it felt. Just looking at how many folk didn’t bother going seeing her who were at Glasto shows how mediocre a booking it was, compared to Elton last year it’s night and day. They would have been better closing with Avril Lavinge considering she had 70k folk wanting to see her this afternoon.

I think big stars will still play it but it will be very much at a time of thier choosing later in thier career rather than for the money

  • anyone have a sniff at tickets?

  • Glasto can be shit 'cos it's o the Telly, will always sell out 0.00002 secs.

Watch on electro slab an go to some much better Festies, WITHOUT A MASSIVE FLAG!
