Tonight was supposed to be Thai twice-cooked pork, which was left to absorb salt while I dropped a walking stick to a friend. Ten minutes later the menu had changed to pizza. There are four furry suspects, but no evidence. I shall close the kitchen door next time...

Dolly is totally oblivious to World War III going on outside. (There have been 5/6 very loud fireworks) previous hounds would be hiding under the stairs at this point.

Crumpet is similarly unbothered. The cat's not having a great time though.

Bosco gets annoyed rather than scared.
He wasn't happy when we walked on Saturday and some fireworks went off, but at home he ignores until a barrage of bangs, then he might bark at them as if to say "shut the fuck up" and then go back to sleep.

Thankful Peanut really wasn't arsed by the fireworks, shame some of his pals were in bits with it.

Growing up we had a dog that would freak out every time there were fireworks. She used to try and burrow behind the fridge and all sorts. Maybe she saw that Indiana Jones film where he survives a nuclear blast by hiding in a fridge?

Dog broke his front leg chasing deer today. That'll be 1000 euros for the pleasure. Dogs eh
At the vet or Prison! Maybe the same thing

Oh no.

The one thing guaranteed is that he will have learned his lesson and never chase another deer.

You’d think that, but Boo! our last greyhound broke her leg in a race (that’s how we rescued her) she finished the race on three legs and the whole time we had her, 6 years, she’d chase anything that even thought about running away.

Poor little thing. I bet they are going to be more pissed at the cone of shame than the break though.

I really doubt it sadly! This isn't the first incident.
Thanks all! He's got a couple days in hospital to mull over his life choices.

I think that must be the saddest dog picture I've ever seen in which you can't see the dog's eyes. :) Bars, muzzle, cone, cast!
Heal up soon!

Maybe if he could see where he was going he wouldn't have run off a small cliff!

Poor bugger. I hope he heels up sson and well and gets something more safe to chase in the future, i.e. sheep.

Prototyped with tarp. Don’t like the material for this kind of shape so probably sell on this one jacket as a sample and never make one again.
Much prefer cordura, leather, etc for the dog jacket.

Just to follow up on my post yesterday. After days of good behaviour was a little shit all afternoon at home (but never outside).
Today I took the long line with me to give him the chance to run.
Did he? No.
He just wandered around near me wondering why I wasn’t 2.5m from his neck.
