I’m not going to lie I’m becoming addicted to peanut butter with Huy Fong sriracha sauce mixed through it at about 3%. Do you think I could be pregnant?

All the fancy ones are nice for cooking (and eating) but I am highly addicted to Skippy extra smooth, straight out the jar a table spoon at a time

mate, there's nothing weird about that combo! PB, garlic, chilli, vinegar and sugar. Fat, rich, salty, sweet, tangy and spicy!

On the subject, this afternoon I had toast with PB, marmite, rhubarb and ginger jam, gherkins and hot pepper sauce. It was delicious

100% peanuts, cheap from Sainsbury’s. Does need salt but great texture and taste.

Yeah not bad, but not great value, frustrating they don't do it in 1kg.

does anyone else buy proper nutty in the 1kg tins?
this has been my go to for a few years since getting addicted during COVID.
unfortunately the quality control seems to have gone downhill since the production moved from Yorkshire.

it's annoying.
last couple of tins have been pretty bad.
the first was much darker than usual, almost as if the peanuts had been burnt during roasting, so the flavour was way off from usual.
the second was so badly separated that it took a good 5 mins of vigorous stirring to get it close to the regular consistency. the lower half of the tin had a consistency closer to that of hard fudge and needed slicing through with a knife before it could even be mixed.
of course as a PB connoisseur i'd normally expect some separation, but this was on another level.

Glad someone else is into this, it's my go to when I can't afford Butter Bike!

Only thing I can think of

US food preparation regulations are notoriously lax.
If this stuff was made in the US, it would contain rodent hairs/droppings and insects.

Could be, but I fear @mespilus is probably closer to the truth.

This is the ingredient list, made in the uk. I’ve eaten worse and it’s really for some fun at Christmas.

@CanonAxe the smooth of that is our go to, its decent and good value.

In the US some sugar is filtered with bone char so is not vegan
