Good looking paint job for sure!
Is the eyelet on the stem for a bell? -

@Browndonneur , I think it'll look great with silver n black bits (and maybe gold chainring bolts!).
@.gaz. I have all the parts (I think), may need to nip to the local boltmonger next Saturday morning, depending what length bolts I have that'll work. So all being well, 23rd will be the build day, currently curating a suitable bike build playlist on tidal.
@MisterMikkel , the eyelet on the stem is for a bell. -

I've said it before, but it bears repeating, if you're considering a custom frameset, I highly recommend giving Winston a call (or email), very knowledgeable, easy going, hell of a lot of experience, and just a rather nice person.
Do it, you know you're worth it. -

It's a great stem for another great bike. And I'm not usually a fan of a painted stem.

Ta, and I know what you mean about colour matched stems. The first Varonha I saw was @veLLo 's, wasn't too keen on the red stem, but since they've had it repainted, I think it looks great, if I hadn't gone for black sparkle (than turns out to be dark grey sparkle) I would have had the stem plain black.

Had some parcels delivered today, headset, chainrings, spare brake pads, cable nipples/end caps, and mudflaps have all arrived.

First (red) stem wasn't Winston's, but a Velo Orange alloy one.
Agree the first red scheme wasn't right, I quickly regretted it, whereas I'm still happy with the grey one. -

This time we need to organise a ride! (That finishes at Winston's workshop)

Funny you say that, been looking on google maps this afternoon at possible routes taking in Hither Green.

Count me in.
(Sure I can figure out a nice route that starts / finishes in Hither Green : ) -

The blue one!

I'm favouring that too, although I do also have a few rolls of S-Wrap Roubaix in bright pink stashed away (as seen on Winston 1).

That silver inner ring is niiiice.

• #44
It's alright innit.

Yellow.
I did wonder how long you’d manage without a project. 😉

I've had a couple of bike projects between selling my original Varonhas and ordering this one, just didn't share with the class.

Dunno why it's taken me so long to sub this thread, but here we are.
A Zahir/Jack/ComfyRando bike build is truly amazing. -

Welcome, glad to have you along.
Tune in tomorrow evening for fucking awful pics of, what I'm hoping is, a rather lovely frameset. -

This is going to be lovely. And thanks for the blindingly obvious idea of using a 94bcd spider which is readily available. I have the R01s and was looking for the hens teeth 'incy' spider to give me double options.29t should be plenty low enough.
I think the paint looks great.
Do you have most of the parts already or are will we be waiting ages to see this built up?
