How about starting Bristol Bike Tag? What a fantastic place to have a bike tag game...
-
• #431
Start a thread and post a link here!
I’d be game. -

I can do that if you want... but I'm in Brighton, where we have a very active bike tag game going on, as does Norwich.
I can certainly start a Bristol Bike Tag thread (or "conversation") but wondered if it might be better if one you guys actually in Bristol did it, and kicked things off with an initial tag.

Ah ok - assumed you were Bristol-based. Yeah I’ll do one next time I’m out on a bike. Will have to bone up on the rules in the London thread!
(I may well forget, so if another Bristolian wants to kick it off, be my guest!)

If I wasn't in Brighton, I'd love to be in Bristol. Fantastic place. And really fertile ground for a cracking bike tag game. I like to keep my eye on other cities' bike tags, and would love to see one in Bristol.
The London game is nuts! So active.
Our rules in Brighton aren't as strict as in London, and can be gleaned by looking at our recent pages. But summarized they are:-
- ride out to the most recent tag location
- photograph your bike there
- go somewhere else and get a new tag with your bike in it
- post both on the forum
- indicate the location of the tag that the previous person did
- don't worry about repeat tags too much (but try to avoid if you can)
- don't worry about using a different bike for old tag vs new tag
- don't give clues until a week has passed (roughly)
- don't say where the latest tag is in a comment... go get the tag!
- don't do a new tag unless you got the old one
That's pretty much it!
- ride out to the most recent tag location

I spied a drop bar, road fixed rider fast spinning back toward town on the railway path somewhere around Fishponds this afternoon. Looked a nice setup!

Spotted a steel frame and fork fixed gear bike branded 'pinnacle' locked up outside Waitrose near the triangle. Paint was light grey/ cream Thought it looked spot on for a road fixed set up and assumed it was in the pinnacle / Evans range but doesn't seem to be. Anyone's on here?

good work, Columbo! :-D
Yeah that looks a lot of fun.
A mate sold his rock lobster 26er frame a while back and it’s up for sale on FB marketplace again now. Someone Bristol based should buy it and make something fun out of it!
