  • Downloaded TestFlight and then Soft in the pub there and took a couple photos with it.

The changes are probably too subtle and hard to see how they relate to the noise level etc for me to be really excited about using it and therefore I kinda see me forgetting about it pretty quickly.

    Sorry if that’s harsh.

  • That's ok, it's not for everyone. Thanks for trying it out!

  • Velvia 50 (if I remember correctly), SMC Pentax 30mm (heavy crop tho)

  • Kodak gold 200 + Olympus XA2

  • Where is everybody buying film from anywhere with competitive prices?

  • Fuckin nowhere, portra 400 is a fortune now but I can’t change and just pay it since I shoot less

  • Nice vibe!

What kind of place is that? Is that a bar at a lake?

  • I mostly shoot Kodak Gold 200 and my local film studio sells them in very reasonably priced 3 packs at 27 euro. That is the cheapest colour film I am regularly buying.

  • Hey Oddo, weren't you in Germany as well?

Also for anybody else there - Nordfoto has reduced prices for Portra 160 (with a MHD of 02/2025) at the moment, €72 for a 5-pack (that's €14,40 per roll, pretty good if you ask me) - https://www.nordfoto.de/Analoge-Fotografie/Filme/Negativ-Farbfilme/KODAK-Portra-160-Negativ-Farbfilm-135-36-5-Stueck-Aktionspreis::9286.html
ProImage in 35mm and some other emulsions like Kodak Gold and CineStill in 120 are reduced as well...

  • I am German but currently living in Austria.
    Thanks for the link!

  • Any recommendations for labs still doing individual b&w wet prints? Ideally at smaller sizes than Rapid Eye offer (they seem to start at 12x16)

  • Also interested, stopped buying portra, ektar and slide and just go for the cheapest multi packs I can find via Google. Often tends to be Kodak Pro image 100, which is ok but quite noticeable grain for 100 speed.

  • Just had some MF developed from the summer, Ektar 100 in Mamiya 645.

  • Cheers, it's a festival in Portugal called Waking Life. I think this was the solstice sunrise, taken in a state of high elation :)

  • I've had the misfortune of spending time in the Royal London Hospital Whitechapel today, but opposite that I noticed Stuart Cameras which sells Portra, and other Kodak / Ilford film, and a few cameras. They also do film processing at surprisingly reasonable rates. Anyone ever used them?

  • Sounds (and looks) nice 🙂

  • These are great - really regret selling my 645

  • Looking for something on an old backup drive for two hours now, haven't found it yet, but finding some cool shots from the past while searching..

Shot a lot with a Nikon 200mm f4 AI back in the day that from the outside really looked like someone had used it to smash-open a padlock, but took nice pictures if you managed to focus properly..

Picture from 2013, shot on Agfa CT Precisa, cross processed.

Did notice just now that I haven't done any x-pro stuff in years (have done this quite a lot in the past).. not really sure why to be honest. Well, it has become quite expensive of course.. 🙂

  • Fuji Pro 400H, don't remember which camera / lens

  • And another CT Precisa one (not crossed).. man that was good film 🙂

  • CineStill 400D

  • Kodak Ultramax 400

  • Cine Still 50D

  • Before I forget, nice shots with the 645 @mi7rennie - also your kids are so cool 😎🤘

  • Saul Leiter vibes. Excellent couple of images imo. If not already you should think about how these images would work in a book, what sequence / narrative etc✌️
