I’d leave worrying about future terms to the Usonians, as it’s their democracy to preserve.
The UK, as a theocratic hereditary monarchy and plutocratic quasi-democracy that has isolated itself from its closest neighbours and instead doubled down on its Stockholmian special relationship, will probably not struggle too much to align its stance with the trump White House’s, except where British public sentiment requires they soften their messaging.
