That's the kind of realisation I'd expect one to make after a muffin-based breakfast in Amsterdam rather than during a routine visit to the bog 😂
Also thanks both for the feedback, I found the results encouraging with so little effort. Just treated myself to a Black Friday reverb plugin (Relab LX480) and having a play with it, sounds great on the guitar and definitely better than the plate IR I have on that clip 👍

A (slightly) amusing aside on the subject of unrecorded/unfinished tunes... I've got a practically finished acoustic instrumental ditty that's been hanging around for a couple of years, just never recorded it properly. It's a bit maudlin TBH, quite funereal in tone but with an uplifting key change in the middle that turns it right around, it's cute and it's in open E, which is a nice, er, change for me.
I know it needs some military type marching drums on it but I've just this moment realised while taking a piss that the main melody should actually be played by bagpipes. 😳🤣
