• With an impending house extension, I need to clear out some of the spare frames I seem to have been hoarding.

Both frames are located in Beckenham, south east London and any potential buyers are welcome to come and view without commitment to buy. I'd prefer collection but can post at buyer's cost if required.

  • First up is my much loved rim braked Pretorius Outeniqua. I bought this new from Pretorius back in 2016 and have enjoyed many happy kilometres on it (just short of 20k according to Strava).

The frame is 3/2.5 double butted titanium, with an Enve road fork. It's a size Large and you can find the geometry here. Cosmetically it's in very good condition, with just a few marks around the dropouts on the fork and the odd scuff on the frame itself. Cable routing can be run internally from the downtube to both front and rear derailleur. It'll come with a Chris King headset, BB30 bottom bracket and Thomson seat collar. Internal diameter of the seat tube is 31.6. Max tyre clearance is 28 mm.

The ride quality is superb, it's an incredibly comfortable bike to ride and soaks up road bumps beautifully, but it can also transmit power well when you want to ride fast.

    Price: £525

  • Next up is another Pretorius, their Bosvelder cyclocross frame that I also bought in 2016. This has shared cyclocross race duties with a Trek Crockett for the past 7 seasons and has, according to Strava, done 3k kilometres. I've also used it as a gravel bike, which is also excels at.

Again it's a size Large, but I can't find the geometry on line anymore. It is as follows:

    Seat tube 565
    Top Tube 564
    Head tube 165
    Headtube angle 71.5
    Seat tube angle 73
    Chainstay 425
    Front Centre 622
    Stack 580
    Reach. 386
    BB drop 65

This also has a Chris King headset, with Enve cross fork and takes a 31.6 seatpost, Thomson seat collar included. The bottom bracket is BSA, and the brakes are both post mount. Tyre clearance is not great compared to today's gravel bikes, but you can, just, get a 38 mm wide tyre in the rear, possibly larger at the front. 12 mm thru axles front and rear.

The condition is superb, with a just a few cosmetic marks to the fork and frame.

  • Moved to ebay.

  • Dibs rim brake Pretorius for @samrensho

  • would actually love that if I wasn’t the size of a door mouse

  • Wait, is Andy tall?

  • When he wears his heels yes.

  • I'm 1 metre 83 centimetres, or 6' in old money. To aid any potential buyers.

  • I refuse to believe he ever wears non-cleated footwear

  • Prices dropped on both Pretorius frames.

  • If you would split on the enve fork I’d be interested

    Cheers

  • Still available?

  • Yes, both are still available.

  • Damn shame these aren’t a little (lot) smaller as I always wanted a PTRS frame while we were still active with the club, and still do now, just for nostalgia

  • Giving this a free bump, as I got one from here a few years back and it's been one of my best purchases all categories. To sum it up, it's perfect smooth for Dad to ride without killing himself, but also racey enough that the Ragey Teen can show up at training and do proper rouleur pulls on it.

Someone should take this. You won't regret it.

  • Bought a disc version of the Outeniqua from andyp a while back, to build a 'winter hack'. Turns out it's way better than I expected , stiff for ti and great fast handing. Recommend it and seller.
