Anyone interested in buying a section of HAY mags? Had to remove the middle section to fit in the living room.
Can send pics & more info if there's any interest.

Not seen one IRL but even with the 4 lamps i suspect it wont put out a lot of light if it's fixed to the wall. To diffuse those lamps i'd guess it's gonna be fairly opaque. I've seen a picture of one suspended from the ceiling and it threw a lot of light upwards making the space feel a lot brighter so if you can offset it from the wall enough that'll help.
If it's a clear hallway and you don't mind it being dim i doubt you'll have any practicality issues but i would normally look to pair something like that with some discreet downlights that can be switched on separately. Nothing similar comes to mind (Akari/Noguchi might have a wall light) but you'll probs have the same issue whatever you go for if you want to light with a decorative wall light only.

It hits so many of my personal house wishlist bingo points
✅ Partially subterranean
✅ Zero curb appeal
✅ Incredibly complicated air/heating mgmt system
✅ Corten steel
✅ Dedicated TV room/TV free sitting room
✅ Courtyard (although I think he's using an extremely generous interpretation of that word)
✅ Easy to clean floor -

Looking to reupholster this 70s Yrjö Kukkapuro glass-fibre chair. Any thoughts on what would suit it? Bit tempted to go with a colorful corduroy. So many options..

Yes to corduroy! Maybe like a dark mossy green or a tobacco colour

the cream / white bouclé number

Yes to corduroy but got to be 70s orange or Magistretti red no?
Actually any of the traffic lights would do. Super saturated leaf green would look sick.

Nice chair!
Corduroy would suit the era I guess, unsure if stripey structure plus stripey base isn’t too much.
Really fancy velvet? Colourful is definitely a good idea. -

Burnt orange Harris tweed.

Most strong colours would work well, no?
Not everything was orange and green back then if it wasn’t white or brown :-).Edit, sitting in an orange maralunga sofa.

Amazing place.
I want to remove the TV from our living room and have a snug room. -

Center bit from of a cheapo modular sofa.

Thanks for the input. Initially i was thinking black leather but it was gonna cost a fortune,
and would be fun with a pop of color for a change. Would fit well with the "space-age" vibes as well.

I’m looking for inspiration for a bedroom ceiling and over kitchen table light.
Kitchen definitely pendent style, but really unsure about the bedroom. The fitting is above the bed so don’t want it to hang too far. I’ve been trawling John Lewis etc and am going blind by the sheer number. -

Is the bedroom fitting the main source of artificial light? If it's just decorative then go with whatever style suits but if you need useful light out of it i'd be going for something diffuse/translucent.

Bedroom also has 2 dimmable lamps, so isn’t the main source of lighting. Just trying to work out what style of light would be best really. It’s located over the bed, so pendent style probably not ideal and would want it to diffuse soft light too. So, ceiling mounted I assume
Anyone have/had a Flos Ariette ?
It looks to have 4 x e27 fittings so in theory could provide a not insignificant amount of light? (It's for a hallway wall). All the photos of it appear dim and moody.
What else is similar? Large, vaguely 'sculptural', provides some degree of functional illumination?
