I think more of a clue will be needed.

Indoor/outdoor activity is local to old and very local to new

There's not really anything in the picture to narrow it down so it all rests on the clue. I wouldn't worry about making it too easy.

This is my first go and I was kind of hoping the picture was distinctive enough, it's pretty new though. I can work on the clue 👍

Well, if it is at the Mile End climbing centre, I couldn't see it this morning.

I also went yesterday to have a look around there, and couldn't see it. Unless it's tucked round the back somehow. Never really explored round there so nothing wasted.

I can't believe how much cracked concrete pavement I've looked at this evening, but I finally have a match!

The funny thing is I spent 10 mins earlier this evening leaning against some railings only 50m away from it, when my previous theory fell through!

I had a guess, found some similar concrete and kerbstones but couldn't find a match
