just bought a Df64 gen 2, looking forward to trying it out. If anyone else here owns one, did you have to align the burrs when it arrived?

I didn't bother looking into that, let me know how you get and I'll do it if it's necessary!

My Nespresso Pixie is on it's way out. After 10 years of daily use and a couple of valve changes, I think that's pretty good going.
I'm still torn between the convenience of Nespresso and wanting a nicer coffee. I'm leaning towards a Barista Express or Pro at the moment. I have a cappucino (approximation) every morning and maybe two on a weekend, my wife doesn't drink coffee. I think the Sage Barista machines retain enough of the convenience of a bean-to-cup machine whilst still giving enough control to be able to get a good drink out. I'm currently frothing with an aeroccino 2, so I think any steam wand will be a good upgrade.
Anyone here got strong opinions of Sage Barista Express vs Pro? Main different is the thermoblock I think and the Pro runs a bit quieter.
Is there anywhere I could actually go and try out any of these machines? -

I have a DF54, so not the same but presumably fair to expect similar - no issues with alignment and good to go out of the box. Bought direct from df64coffee.com

What’s the term to describe a grinder that has a full hopper and weighs the coffee according to pre-set

Volumetric doser or something like that?
Or a stale grounds machine 😂

Call me lazy, but weighing out coffee all the time is grinding me down.

Grind-by-weight? GBW

Should I go into the loft to rescue my Classic?

Looks awesome. -

Yes. I love mine.

Mine’s been in the loft for the last 5 years or so. I did the PiD mod on my old one, but this looks like a whole new world!

Would this work on the Silvia?

I’ve had a quick Google and looks like it works with all Gaggia single boiler machines, but don’t quote me on that.

New burrs ordered for my rancilio rocky. I’ve had it about a year and the guy I bought it off said it needs new burrs.

Does anyone want a free espresso machine? I think it's a Dualit DCM1 Espressivo, in cream.
It needs fixing and I'm not sure what's wrong with it (for some reason my partner took it off a neighbour who was giving it away, despite the fact that we have a functioning espresso machine already).
Free to collect from SE20, E20 or anywhere in between. Huge preference for SE20 though!
About halfway through adding the PID to my classic. Wired up, just need to set the PID itself up and put parameters in (or whatever it is), and then add the pressure gauge.
Fun wee project, even if I hate how they’ve written the instructions.
