  • Really nice to have one so original.
I've got a VX edge, it's one I'll always keep. To me it feels like the perfect balance in a bike. And the tubes have a decent wall thickness so feel very durable without being heavy.
    I'm using 25c but I think 28c will work.
How is the edge different to the VXS if you don't mind me asking?

  • Well, you are digging into the far reaches of the memory here. I think the vx edge was a slightly less complex model and more pure road than this. The VXS and the VXRS had strangely multi profiled down tubes which I remember was pretty unusual in carbon. This one also had some material called vectran in it which was to add flex and take the sting out of the cobbles.

  • Thanks for the information. I did some more reading too and it seems the 'Edge ' is the 'cheaper' model isn't it.
There's an interesting article for the new buyer about the differences between Vectran fibres and Kevlar here: https://osnf.com/vectran-vs-kevlar/
There's a great video on youtube of somebody analysis a TIME frame that is cut in half, it's good.

    Hope it sells quickly.
