I’ve not used it but my take on it is that it’s a toy for recreational use, e.g. empty can target practice. Hunter Cycles and many others do them, and I guess on a forum full of adults one would hope the buyer would use it with discretion. That said, I don’t want the hassle of long drawn out debates pontificating on its use so will just remove it, thanks.

Let's get grip friend. A slingshot is not a big deal. Come on, I just bought an axe and a camping knife here. I'd say those are more dangerous than a slingshot. Even your little screenshot says "should not be used for illegal puposes" Well, we're adults here let's assume fellow community members aren't using it for nefarious deeds. So let's not be cops and police items that do have a legitimate and innocent use.

Well, if the seller didn't have a way of verifying you were 18+ when you bought the knife and axe, they were unequivocally breaking the law - so I would have thought that wouldn't be cool with velocio as they've involved the forum in that.

On the slingshot, I obviously am not assuming either buyer or seller is going to use it to attack someone. I said that explicitly. The screenshot shows that the police will require you to have a reasonable excuse if you are carrying the slingshot and I'd be surprised if they consider 'its just a toy' to count, especially considering how this one looks. A friend of mine got taken to court because he had a penknife in his bag to cut cheese and apples with (he also had the cheese and apples), and got caught up in a protest he wasn't even attending. So I wouldn't recommend taking it on your next bike packing trip, but you do you.
