You should defo build a kit. Or dismantle one of your RTRs and put it back together - a service never hurts, it’s fun, and you’ll learn how it all works.
I use NIMH batteries so I’m not an expert, but I think the C rating in a lipo battery is less important for crawling as I doubt the motor you’re using is ever demanding a high current delivery. Eg a typical brushed crawling motor will be high turn and therefore low current.
You need a high C rating, if you have like a 5000kv brushless motor and you’re hooning something round a car park at 60kph with mad accelerations.
