  • cheers... I'll have a look if I make the trip next year.

  • We sell direct worldwide.
We have stocks in France & in the UK.

It's only my brother Baptiste & I so it very much human scale.

The price will be better if it's France->France - email me on champagne@lasseaux.com & I'll send you the french price list (which is lower than the website)

  • Nice one, I'll ping you an email now.

  • I feel like this is a good place to ask, I'm actually spending a few days in Champagne in December. Can we visit? Any other good places to drop into?

  • It all depends on your budget & how mobile you are.

Taxis to visit champagne houses outside Reims or Epernay are around 50€ each way - making it unviable for most.

The large Champagne houses have fantastic tours so we generally recommend to visit them. The cost of cellar visits have increased a lot recently, so expect to pay from 60€ & up for each visit with 2 samples.

For us, we do do visits, but they are more on the technical side - cellar & vineyard work - so they do not appeal to all.

If budget allows, I would recommend staying here:

  • Your visits sound much more interesting than most winery tours I've been on.

I'm surprised you've not had offers of help with harvest or winter cleanup.

  • Ah nice. It would be a fun holiday if it didn't mean doing a tax return and having to deal with work visas.

  • Getting involved, November tasting session before deciding what to buy for Christmas.

Just smashed the pole position brut with pizza. Very impressed straight out of the gate!

  • Getting through 6 bottles before Christmas is good going

  • Serious training. I approve.

  • Tasting session is all open at the same time!

  • We got them on Friday and we've had half so that's not a bad effort.

apparently it’s reduced to £17 with nectar card and if you get 6 then an extra 25% off, so something like £13 per bottle. Which seems pretty good value! In store only until Sunday

  • waitrose has 25% off six bottles at the moment, this proper fucks me off as I only want one bottle preferably on a decent promotion, however it forces me to get outside that range and this is pretty good at £15

  • I haven't loads of experience but Épernay was a great visit when we went in June. Did the cellar tour at Charles Mignon, which was fairly interesting and had a bit of tasting. Hautvilliers up the hill was delightful and at that point you are almost half way to Vince's and a very manageable ride.

  • Finished off the last couple of bottles of Lasseaux champagne over the weekend, I can't recommend them highly enough, certifiable bangers all of them.

The blanc de blancs is probably the best champagne my wife and I have ever had. She's French so you don't just have to rely on the recommendation of a gravy drinking Yorkshireman.

Ordered a couple of boxes to the in laws for Christmas, get involved people, still time to get those christmas orders in!
