Agreed but I guess they said “shove the R&D, just make a 25yo design emissions-legal”.

I see the logic in building something at a lower price - that seems to be a segment doing better these days. I think KTM and their ilk are going to run into a wall with highly priced, race rep off road models sooner or later - especially with rates where they are.

Like @lynx said. Definitely how to make it cheaper.

I guess it needs to be a direct price competitor to the CRF300L, or else who is buying it?

I thought KTM were already in financial trouble.
