  • Burwins have moved but still do tyres.

They are in stoke Newington now 19a victoria road n16

  • Oh right, where are they now?
Good guys in my experience. Went in there as a total noob with seized and snapped header bolts and they really helped me out without being judgey

  • Burwin in Islington

They are based in Stoke Newington now.

  • 👍

  • Updated with the address as I thought it might be useful.

  • What are people betting on, the price of OG DRZ’s going up, or down?

  • Were gonna do orkney next year, I also wanna do the weston.

  • Same. They sell enough CRFs to mean the new ones will sell fine and the old ones still have their place in the Market and I can't see many people who have an existing one buying the new one.

I rode a CRF300 Rally the weekend and it was so good. It had some suspension work done on it though. I was on a TS185 though so any suspension was going to feel amazing ha.

Haven't watched the reviews yet but I would be interested to see how much the rider aids hinder the DRZ and if they can be turned off.

  • Didn't even know there was one in Orkney! Looks an amazing location. Have you done a beach race before?

  • Dibs the TS185

  • I guess it's logical they made it how they did but I wish it was more RMX450 with a 6 speed.
I'm an enormous fan of the old DRZ400 (and Suzuki dirtbikes in general) but if it needed anything, it was a 30lb weight loss and an extra gear.

  • Agreed but I guess they said “shove the R&D, just make a 25yo design emissions-legal”.

  • Thank you ☺️

  • I see the logic in building something at a lower price - that seems to be a segment doing better these days. I think KTM and their ilk are going to run into a wall with highly priced, race rep off road models sooner or later - especially with rates where they are.

  • If it ain't broke, how can we make it cheaper.

  • So I'm adding re-upholstering a motorbike seat to the list of things I can't do.

Fuck my life. It's clearly witchcraft, therefore I'm on the lookout for someone to do it for me. I got a quote locally for ÂŁ150... Needless to say I could pick up a 2nd hand one up for much less but Id still like to get it recovered.

Has anyone had it done, and any recommendations?

  • diggerseat@gmail.com in Newport did my 1100S nicely, around the same price though.

  • If I can do it you can.

    What bike?

  • Ah ta. I'm not underestimating the task but should probably suck up the cost.

  • It's the bastard banana shape, oh and the corners. Maybe there's a reason it's ÂŁ150

  • What material is the base, plastic or steel.

What material have you got to recover it. Is it stretchy enough?

  • Have you checked it’s warm enough? You should use a hairdryer to get the material warm and flexy to get it into position. A strong staplegun needs short short staples or you’ll punch through on the sides.

  • Like @lynx said. Definitely how to make it cheaper.

I guess it needs to be a direct price competitor to the CRF300L, or else who is buying it?

I thought KTM were already in financial trouble.

  • We've done orkney once its fun but fucks your bike.

  • Hell yeah. What you race on? I have a WR250. Last of the two strokes variants but the wide ratio box makes it good on the straights. I imagine the torque of a 4 stroke helps in the sand though when you are getting tired.
