  • Seems to be a lot of Robens on sale ATM! There's a few for under £100.

  • Hi all - my partner and I are going on a 3 month cycle trip starting in Japan, possibly going s.korea and/or China depending on how far we get next year.
We need to get a new tent for it and want a 3 berth and DURABLE!
What are people's views on the best tent for the job? Is a Hubba Hubba the best all rounder? Some of the big agnes tents look pretty good too!

  • Either will work for 3 months. From my anecdotal evidence (and being a Copperspur owner) the Hubba hubba is more durable than Big Agnes offerings.

SlingFin are a more durable and weatherproof, or Hilleberg if you want maximum durability and strength (but with a big weight and cost penalty).

  • I’ve an Alpkit something or other, copy of hubba hubba. Used it on a month trip round France and it was fine, still in good condition too
