I've been listing to The Rest is History a lot this year. One thing that has really struck me is the pattern of a set of character traits in some of those involved in assassinations (e.g. Gabrielle Princip and Lee Harvey Oswald) and modern day mass shooters.
Loaners with an inflated sense of their own intelligence and a chip on their shoulder.
