Apparently no way to calibrate them as the app has been discontinued. Don't know if anyone's worker out a workaround?
-
• #7982
That’s a downer.. hopefully someone has figured something out.

Yeah fingers crossed. Don't know if the original APK works https://apkcombo.com/avio-installer/com.avio.debug/

Alix has offerings from several competitors. Mighty tempting for an item that is more often carried by the parent than ridden by the child, but would the inconvenience last long enough to justify the expense?
-

Not really, they do have a unit/counter for people to collect but you can't turn up and buy stuff there. It is just a counter with minimal stock. You can phone in advance to see if they have bits in stock but you have to pay for them to move the stock from the warehouse (nearby) to the counter.

Not sure if it's of any use but still have the app installed on an old Android phone if there's a way to package and send the app from that?
-

It says in the description that they are calibrated within 2%, lots of other sites selling them for 150-200 which seems pretty harsh if they're useless
-

Avio used to also sell pre-installed meters so Wiggle has probably just stolen the wrong blurb.
The calibration is meaningless if it's not done after the thing has been glued to a particular crank, and a quick search say these modules don't do anything at all until they've been setup with the app.
lots of other sites
I clicked through the first few listings on Google and they're all ghosts with no stock.

The iOS app seems to be installable, but without one of the units, I'm unsure if it can connect and calibrate.

Anyone seen any good helmet bargains? It's time to replace my Poc omne air which has been great... I paid £50 for the last one when wiggle was dying, and don't want to pay £120 for a replacement which seems the going rate now

Spotted those a bit cheaper on SportPursuit (the e-mail spamming company from hell...)
-
• #7996
Why do people keep mentioning that? Every company sends emails once you order something
and then you unsubscribe. -
• #7997
Oh I agree, unsubscribe. They had a reputation of sending loads per day way back and it stuck. No idea anymore.
-
• #7998
Perfect, £55 from there, I can put up with some spam for that saving
-
• #7999
I'd be interested to see how these avio power meters work out for <£30 might be worth a punt.

Depends how interesting you find looking at a random number generator..
This reminds me they still owe me a Thomson saddle rail clamp. Had to chase them to get them to send the stuff they did have in stock because their delivery of Thomson stuff was incomplete, then the next delivery was 1 clamp and I'd ordered two. It's about 9 weeks since the original order.
