The main reason you’d want the year set correctly is if there’s a day of the week indication. Which I don’t think there is necessarily on there? So as long as the leap year cycle matches you’d be good to go.

Oh, I quite like it like that, it matches the lume and the hands. It probably works better with the translucent dial than black would as well, but it’s all personal preference innit.

I’m thinking about a Citizen Chronomaster, HAQ with perpetual calendar. Anyone has any experience with them? Too shiny in real life?

Not seen one IRL. Are they available over here?
-

There have been talks about making them available here, but not sure how far they got. Seems straightforward to get them second hand though. Just not sure how true/much of a concern the servicing/battery change is. Apparently, can only be done in Japan.

I like Beams.
I can't hack Seiko's identity package.
Is like an Animal watch from the 90s.
Thing is they can't change it as heritage etc.

I'll send you the money this afternoon if it's priced anywhere near retail.
-
• #79762
It’s not near retail , but not as far away as has been, and still the cheapest in that condition from any reputable dealer/ authorised Rolex preowned.

Suitably vague. Thanks

Just to bring things down a bit from the Daytona above… does anyone fancy this vintage King Seiko? I was toying with selling it for a while and I think it’s time.

Oh for sure, and lots of people must like it as so many makers do it, but I am distinctly not a fan of that design choice.

And it’s cheap at that.
I don’t make the rules. -

140!? Impressive.
I don't think Nintendo is that old...
-
• #79775
That was in 2021. Now they're at 143 already.
Nintendo roots its history in 1889, but was actually established in 1933.
Seiko does a similar calculation, stating its history started in 1881, whereas the Seikosha company was actually established in 1892.
"All" black except for the bl**dy white day and date dials. Why oh why do they do this, it looks so glaring and awful?
