  • 95% capacity. Yeah feels like might be new battery time because of this battery black hole. Was hoping there might be a fix but hey. Gonna run it into the ground before charging full as I’m out of other ideas.

  • I resorted to carrying a MagSafe battery pack around (anker), it’s a handy desk stand and good for keeping the battery topped up. Did that for a year prior to getting the battery changed, don’t carry it anymore other than on long hikes.

  • Now I’m curious what it said 😅

  • Oh it wasn’t coming up, but I hadn’t updated. Done, very similar to you, little to no loss, which shocked me.

I’m intrigued to see if the hearing air feature will work in noisy environments like bars. I find it hard to hear people sometimes in those environments, wonder if it’ll help.

  • Aye, I've got one. 1TB model boxed. Dm me.

  • On a similar note, anyone got a MacBook Air M1 they want to sell? Thanks

  • would anyone like these official apple lightning earpods? i dug out my iphone x box and found them in there. Free to Collect from SE6

  • Edit. This only lasted 4/5 days then back to defective battery. Oh well.

iPhone 13 Pro battery strangeness update. Draining the battery all the way until it turns itself off, and then charging again seems to have worked. Pretty much the same battery life as before I noticed the cliff edge situation, and the battery level decreases and increases linearly through the previously problematic 30-50% range. Defo worth a try if anyone else is experiencing battery issues.

  • You still got these??

  • Just did this for fun. My sinuses are swollen and my whole head is full of snot, so thought I'd see how it affected hearing. Only got 8dBHL on both ears so surprisingly good. Gonna try again when my cold has cleared

  • Weird one over here, my daughter's iPad pro (2020) stopped charging so took it in for repair. USB-C port replaced and charged fine for a couple of days. The repair shop blamed it on a dodgy cable with corrosion on the pins damaging the USB-C port.

Same happened again. Port replaced again (at 50% as a goodwill gesture).

Stopped charging again but will charge from my laptop power supply and a genuine macbook charger. The repair shop are investigating and fixing for free.

    New logic board time?

  • Anyone got the new Mini yet?

  • I am about to my issue is I have my current M1 mini + Satechi hub with SSD at the bottom, vesa mounted to the back of my screen using this and then the whole thing on a wall

The change in dimension might fuck with all this so I am kinda confused.

  • Looks like the type of thing that could be solved with a 3D printer and a dweeb that knows how to use one

  • Looks like the type of thing that could be solved with you finally embracing daytime drinking, a hammer and a roll of duct tape 👍

  • Also keen to hear about experiences with the new mini, and options to hang it behind a monitor if that doesn’t impede cooling too much (presumably mounted with the fan facing out because of where the power switch is?)

  • Happy to print this for cost of materials / shipping if anyone wants one....

  • Mine arrived today after going AWOL with UPS. Forgot about lack of USB B ports so have ordered a USB C to B hub arrives tomorrow

  • Has anyone got an old ipad they'd like to get rid of? Need one for my children and mine will only run up to IOS15 or something... Not looking for anything fancy, but needs to be able to run IOS17 so that they can listen to audible etc. Thanks

  • Mine arrived on Friday. It’s very nice.

  • Mines coming early December (upgraded it).

  • 2021 Apple MacBook Pro 14", M1 Pro Processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Applecare till Feb 2025. Been in a hardshell case since the day I bought it. £850 can deliver to London.

  • My iPhone battery issues were caused by a dodgy cable - my sister had given me a spare (and cheapo) cable after an upgrade. While I was trying to check everything to figure out the problem, I noticed the lightning plug itself was getting pretty hot while charging. I’ve stopped using that cable and battery life is back to what I would expect. So odd, won’t be using random cables again and I’ll keep an eye on the cable temp while charging.
