Had a great route planned Saturday but managed to get lost a bunch and eventually realised the Garmin "navigation" and the route I was checking on my phone were 2 different routes. Lesson learned! SKS Edge mudguards did a great job, clearance with 40c was still enough for some SFAB and gravel. Not trimming the stays until my actual frame arrives but very happy with them so far.

Great looking bike and backdrop... I'm a sucker for bridges/passing over water on rides

looks like a bargain! these are the ones made of magnesium aren't they?
anyone ever seen one in the wild? -

It's a big discount but was that ever worth nearly 4K?! It looks so heavy I can feel the gravitational pull from here

Yeah gets quite a good review, I have absolutely no need for it otherwise I'd have probably taken a punt on it.

I can feel the graveltational pull from here

Don't we have better things to make out of magnesium?

Crying out for some drops and to fill every hole with a colour coordinated bag.
You could probably even fit a little bag in the front mech recess after it's converted to 1x.

I think a new bike is in order. Gravel on the Grevil is fun and fast, but doesn't offer the same versatility that I once enjoyed, with some carry capacity, rigidity, odd commutes and all that (which feels ridiculous on the Grevil).
The bike will likely be my chosen gear for some cycling holidays (e.g. in the Karakarom, which literally means black gravel where I'm from) coming up.
I'm thinking steel of course, and given my entrenchment in the SRAM ecosystem, maybe 12s Apex mechanical. Any ideas on a good deal (either frame or complete bike) wise ones? Needs to be Cyclescheme compatible.

NICE!

Cotic Escapade or Cascade, depending on how burly you want. SRAM build options, available through I think all but one of the various c2w schemes.

Escapade looks like a good candidate. Forgot about Stayer too - might visit/call them. Leads times on some of these bikes is a bit long.

Admittedly, it would be better with pedals, but oh well

I love a pink bike.

Absolutely love the look of this, but I'm not sure I would have gone with the triple and bar end shifters.
