Fuck, 6 weeks is a hella long time to be in plaster.
I’ve got an appointment tomorrow to get this stupid thing off and stitches out. I’ve no idea how many stitches I have or whereabouts so I’m intrigued to see how it’s looking under there! I’ve also got no idea what they’re going to do after they take the stitches out. Two weeks in this huge thing has killed me, I have an old sweater I’ve cut the sleeve short on and one, non waterproof, not very warm jacket that fits over it, everything else I own is too tight! I’m hoping they send me away with something less cumbersome. A Velcro splint would be very nice. I don’t have any broken bones now as they just removed the fragment of bone I’d broken off and threw it away but they then had to suture the ligament to the remaining bone which I think is going to take a while to heal.
I’m resigned/looking forward to just riding singlespeed when I get back to it as I expect shifting will have to wait.
