  • It’s not difficult, otherwise landscapers wouldn’t be able to do it ;)
Take your time, be methodical and you’ll be fine.
The more time you spend levelling the sand before you start laying the easier it’ll be and less likely to shift in future.

  • Thanks (& @Light_EDDed + @Tonts) all v.useful.

I'll probably post again but think,

    1. Square off edges of 'pit' & lay ground weed cover membrane
    2. Lay level slabs with sand working from centre outwards (the pit is larger than the 6x6ft greenhouse, will possibly fit 8x8ft or 4x4 slabs iirc)
    3. Pack around it with the prev removed soil to stop it all collapsing outwards under weight/rain
    4. Assemble greenhouse
    5. ?
    6. Profit.
  • Depending on how tall you are and how much space you feel you need. I being tall only ever intended of putting a footing down on the perimeter of the greenhouse. Everything is either bear soil or wooden raised beds. When I rotate the green house to a more sensible orientation I will remake the beds, but wider. I only really need walking space
