I know this isn't the thread technically (is there one?), but as audiophile hivemind maybe you can help. I've been given the green light to run audio cables to the rear of our living room for home cinema sound. We've been using wireless rear system which is both costly and has limited choice (neither ideal but was necessary).
The cables are going to run behind the plasterboard (newish build) through the ceiling back down to the rear. I'm thinking or running an extra 2 extra cables for atmos ceiling speakers (future proofing). So right now I'll run 3 incl sub with additional 2 for a few months time if I can get another green light.
Is there anything else I could do while laying pipe
channel and pulling wire? Are 2 extra speakers necessary? Or do I need more? Any other suggestions?
As I'm painting the room this is probably my first and only chance.
