The move to a new suspension layout is interesting. I wonder if they'll adopt it for the non-e frames.

Really hope they've managed to make it steel after all
I think I want to take that back...
I admire Cy for sticking to his steel guns, but this bike seems it's always going compromise something.Steel frame, very on-brand; ugly external battery.
Alu frame with internal battery; not a steel Cotic.
Steel frame, external battery; have to change suspension layout, not Cotic Droplink. And it's nine grand...

It's like a longer, lower, slacker Deliveroo bike.

Mismatched tyre brands makes my eyes twitch too

Did lol
I guess they need to get an ebike out there so they aren't missing out on that sweet battery powered revenue. And with the steel-is-real niche in the market that they sit in they really had to stick to those steel guns for any ebike they put out. Which was always going to lead to compromises.
I don't have a sweet 9 or 10K lying around so it's all academic to me anyway.

Cy said exactly that in the Pinkbike comments

Berrecloth's explanatory video, the two amateurs posting videos of them sending Brendog's run, and another judge adding spicy comments on their videos has really added fuel to the flames on the rampage judging fallout.
Their is clearly a lot of anger and bitterness over the whole thing. Which is a shame because all those guys rode unreal lines.

The kids had an awesome morning getting coaching from Bentley at Phoenix bike park. I managed to fall off a skinny, twice, in front of all the other kids and dads. Good fun though.

What price are you looking for? I would like it be would need to sell to buy

I am in the middle of working that out, I (possibly deliberately) had not kept a running total when building it. It’ll be around half what it cost to build.

Very fair, but likely also still a lot!

Anyone got a 125mm dropper in a 30.9mm diameter they're looking to shift, or swap for a 27.2mm dropper?

Hello off-roaders,
I’ve recently got an MTB and been having some fun weekends exploring trails around Surrey. However I need an app so I can find my way better.
Is Trailforks the best for this?
MBR magazine wants me to use alltrails, but I don’t love that app.

Try Komoot too.

Thank you dogs!

I use ridewithgps. I have a really old Garmin 800, I think it is still a good GPS device with mapping and turn-by-turn directions and colour display. You can pick them up mega cheap and they are pretty compact.
You can plot a route on ridewithgps and upload to the Garmin.

For routes and loops, RWGPS and Komoot. For finding actual named trails, Trailforks

I think this is the answer.
In this instance, I was on the fireroad in hurtwood, and there’s loads of semi-official trails cutting off the side.
Just wanted to check some info on them before launching down. I think you can find this on Komoot and RwGPS, but it’s not top level info.

Trailforks is much better for this. There's nothing really bonkers around Hurtwood, and anything that's become unrideable will become very unrideable before you get to anything dangerous.

Thanks everyone
It is an e-bike, and it is steel: https://vimeo.com/1022116515
Ends up looking a bit like a conversion bike with the way the battery is, but I guess that's the compromise you make for the material.
