The exposed wires are giving me anxiety

What would you do about them?
More cat proofing today.

What would you do about them?
Some sort of conduit would be the obvious thing - I'd probably use split flexible conduit which is good for tidying wires, e.g.
https://www.wickes.co.uk/TTE-Black-Corrugated-Flexible-Conduit---20mm-x-5m/p/109675I did see the duck/whale on Instagram and wondered why on earth you were ruining the lovely clean lines of your KEF speakers, but now it all makes sense!
What model are they btw? I fancy a pair when I've finished (re)building a house to put some in.

LS50 IIRC

Anyone here used Xometry for metal printing? I'm looking to get some direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) parts done in aluminium. I quite like their no-bullshit site and instant online quoting.

Non more duck and whale, instead elevation.

Dear thread
Our son was gifted a resin printer this weekend so we're starting playing around with the stuff. The printer is an anycubic photon m5.
His first chosen test print consists of a bunch of parts that ate supposed to be fitted together. First impression is that they don't fit very well so I was wondering how much of a thing shrinking/expansion after printing is? Does it vary between machines or resins? Or if there are other obvious causes? -

the tolerances can vary for different printers / printer types.
i've found a bit of trial and error is needed to get interlocking parts to fit.
i sometimes print out a couple of thin slices with different tolerances to test parts before printing an entire model to save time / filament etc.you can also try and find a file with a print profile that has been configured for your specific printer.

Cheers.
Test printing is obvious.
I hope the slicing software has easy tolerance-settings. We'll see when I get time next. -

I'd like to get one of these, but I don't have a 3D printer:

What are my options if I wanted to get hold of one relatively quickly? Is there anywhere in north/East London that can do it, or someone on here with a printer who could do it? (Would obvs cover filament + beer money)

I can probably print that and post it in the next couple of days if that's quick enough
-
• #713
That would be amazing, thanks! Can you PM your payment details/how much you'd want for it?
-

Printing is the fastest part. Didn't have black, so you've got translucent blue 💙
Pm me your address and I'll try and pop it in the post tomorrow.

Looks excellent, thanks so much! PMing now

Now I want to know, what project made you buy translucent blue filament?
-
• #717
Cor, I wish I had the impulse control for my decision hierarchy to be project > filament, and not filament > hmm project??
-
• #718
But what if you had an emergency situation and you didn't have the right filament on hand?!?!
-
• #720
It's this brand

Couldn’t resist the Black Friday sales. Just a brief setup before setting it up properly in its home over the weekend.
Definitely a premium product. The whole experience from adding spools to the AMS to printing from the app and creating timelapse’s is easy.

Lovely stuff. If memory serves you had some thing already, what's it replacing?
