I have a Moto G5G, bought when it proved impossible to purchase original batteries for my previous LG G4, (or rather batteries with anything like a day's capacity), on the recommendation of a pal who suggested, at the time, it was about the cheapest 5G phone from a 'brand'.
Consequently, I am signed up with Moto/Lenovo, and receive numerous emails promoting their latest/best offers. I seldom see the same phone promoted twice, as the Moto range appears to have no coherency, just endless new models, at both ends of the price range, and in the middle,
but with seemingly few new features, just different main processors and slightly better camera sensors.

The £199 MotoG5G has probably been adequate value for money, as it is now my back up phone, (without a sim card), and is used for a few pictures, some podcasts and some activity tracking.
I notice that Moto were very slow to issue updates for Android, (it will never be advanced beyond Android 11), and I can't remember the last time I was prompted for a security update*.

I would not be tempted to invest the cost of the Edge 50neo unless it does come with a guarantee of X years Android updates and Y years of security updates, comparable to a similarly priced mobile from Google or Samsung.

(* Just checked; most recent Security Update was July 2022).
