If you want to DIY, maybe try looking at the myriad of GoPro mounts out there to mount on the front of the rack.
Perhaps you could p-clip onto something like this..

Does anyone have any bright ideas or pointers on how to have a quick release mount for a standard light on to a Pelago commuter that wouldn’t foul a pannier if I tried to attach?
Current thinking is to use a p-clip with a female garmin mount bolted on, and male garmin mount stuck to the back of the light, or bodge something from a cannibalised square light mount.
Any help or pointers much appreciated.
