Finally getting a loft ladder put into an existing hatch following the recommendations on this thread. I'll need to paint the architrave around the opening which has years old gloss. Do I try to remove it, strip and sand, reinstall and paint properly or just overpaint it?
Thinking a quick overpainting job won't be too noticeable since it's in the ceiling and will minimise mess - everything else is already decorated, so the less sanding the better really. Will I live to regret this?
