Got a AliExpress fake one. Wears well. Wouldnât pay for the real deal, and wouldnât risk damage for the insane price for a Swatch.

Iâm not really a fan of moody gear, tbh.

thinking aloud (with no user experience) but isn't that price quite close to 'could do better', even if the base line is a colour f-91w, or another Swatch, I think I have a niggel with the strap from the images shown... But if it floats your boat, as they say go for it... although I'd also need convincing + too many choices in the "range"

So, these eBay changes. I saw they were promoting the free to sell thing, but I didn't realise that meant literally, actually, free. Not even a final price fee / percentage. I sold the SLA017 over the weekend, shipped it yesterday, it arrived at the authenticator today (no charge for the authentication service), they released the funds this afternoon, and it hit my bank account about 60 seconds after I requested the withdrawal. Completely free of charges. Wild. Would have cost hundreds of pounds on C24.
Which is the point, right? They're trying to squish the marketplace upstarts like Reverb, C24, Vinted, Depop etc.

How do they make money now? Promoting listings?
-
• #79586
I guess they don't make money on the majority of stuff now, I suspect it's a temporary initiative to retain / regain users that they're losing to newer competitors.

I have one. Wear it everyday on my commute with my Brompton. Light, don't worry about it on the bike, had no issues with it personally.

Same for me, was unbelievably freshing after dealing with the usual time wasters. Fees only on motor vehicles and business seller accounts, so I guess that's where they will get their money from, that and advertising.
-
• #79589
All business accounts still pay.
They are competing with Amazon too. So have to take that into account. Sacrificing fees on the little man in an attempt to up marketshare

I'd assumed that moving your money out into FIAT would be at a cost !?
The downside is that the FaceBook sellers have moved in (next door) and the eBay neighbourhood is going down hill fast - some new and awful buyers/sellers in the past 2 weeks. -

Get a nice Casio for on the bike
-
• #79592
Yeah, thatâs why I moved away from eBay and started using C24 (for watches) and Reverb (for music gear), the quality of the buyers and sellers. Both have raised their fees a lot over time though.

New Bel canto on the way.
I can see a full range each playing a different note.

Starmer rocking the Tissot PRX with a rubber strap in the budget announcement today?
-
• #79596
Yeah, he wears a PRX, apparently his staff have been trying to get him to wear âsomething Britishâ instead for a while.

• #79597
Bit weird that they went fauxtina with it though I suppose they have a precedent with the LHD.
